Comments: In August, 2003 I picked up a 1968 Topps PSA 8 with an eBay win. I upgraded to a MINT example with another eBay win in October, 2004. In May, 2006 I decided to go with a different issue for Leo and picked up a raw R346 card on eBay. It was in rough shape - no better than PR-FR. In July, 2006 I was at the National in Anaheim, CA. and Joe Yanello (Joe's Vintage Sports) sold me this Durocher (along with a 1936 National Chicle Gomez PSA 3).

UPDATE: In 2022 I purchased another example of the R346 Durocher card with un-cut edges as a better example of how the cards appeared in "strip" form. It was sent in to PSA and received an "Authentic" grade. Here's the card:

Card Details Below:
Year(s): 1948
ACC Set Designation: R346
Set Name: Blue Tint
Country: United States
Description: Issued circa 1948-49, the cards in this set derive their name from the distinctive blue coloring used to tint the black-and-white photos. The cards have blank backs and measure 2" X 2-5/8". The set has a high percentage of New York players and was originally issued in strips of six or eight cards each and therefore would have been more appropriately cataloged as a "W" strip card set. The set includes several major variations of team designations, black-and-white rather than blue printing, and cards which can be found either with or without numbers. Proof cards have been found with printing on the back indicating they were photographed by Al Weinstein of Brooklyn.
